You’re engaged! Butterflies for your lover, your family and friends showing you all the love in the world, dreaming of a future with the love of your life. Now time to start wedding planning! Maybe you want an intimate wedding with just your closest family and friends or maybe you want a giant party, surrounded by people to celebrate with you on the best day of your life. Are you having a hard time deciding on what type of wedding you are wanting? What if I told you that you could do both, just like my sunny California couple, Emily and Jared.
From Emily and Jared’s engagement photoshoot on Laguna beach, to their stylish Santa Barbara courthouse wedding, and next to their upcoming big celebration in Cabo, Mexico, I have gotten to experience so much of Emily and Jared’s coastal love story and I can’t wait to share all the details with you all!
I met Emily and Jared at their engagement session at Crystal Cove. Crystal Cove is one of my favorite Laguna beach photography locations, with its soft sand, blue ocean, and hazy skies. Emily and Jared’s session was a great combination of dreamy and classy. They lounged on the beach so that I was able to capture their laidback personalities.
A few months after their California beach engagement shoot, Emily and Jared headed to the Santa Barbara courthouse to get married with just their families. This intimate, SoCal wedding was chic, causal, creative, and dreamy.
The Santa Barbara courthouse is not just your average courthouse. This California courthouse is equipped with cobblestone, light beige stone, palms trees all around, and the ocean breeze for some ambience. If you take a quick stroll around you will see beautiful arches and Intricate detailing. The Santa Barbara courthouse feels historic and modern at the same time. I absolutely loved exploring this stunning location so that Emily and Jared could of the have the intimate courthouse wedding of their dreams. The architecture of this courthouse is truly a wedding photographers dream.
Emily and Jared did everything on their own for this intimate California wedding. Emily and Jared kept their outfits chic, simple, and causal. Emily wore a short, white, blazer dress with white high heels (don’t forget to check out the little bow details on them). She wore her hair in loose waves which was perfect for running around the Santa Barbara courthouse. She had a simple and neutral bouquet that they made themselves. Jared wore a beige suite with a brown tie, which coordinated perfect with the tones and hues of the Santa Barbara courthouse.
With Emily and Jared’s big wedding celebration in Cabo that is soon to come, their Santa Barbara courthouse wedding was the perfect way for the happy couple to go ahead and start celebrating their love for one another.
